I’m up early again this morning. This time with more purpose as I prepare to head south for my first round of golf this year. After talking to my buddy Jim “The Pope” Pope yesterday, I’m feeling a little bit behind; I think he’s got a couple of three round weeks in already. It causes me to think that there is some leverage to not having any kids in the house and being near retirement age.
I’m very curious to see how I hold up today. I’ve been in the gym a bit more over the last quarter. I’m a little stronger and a little less rotund than I have been of late; maybe even a little more flexible. Suffice to say, if I have an incredible day, you’ll never get me out of the gym.
As playing more golf is one of my 11 for 11, I’m hopeful that this is the first of several dozen rounds that I get to play this year…
100 Holes of Golf
Speaking of golf, we’re well under way in preparation for our 100 hole golf marathon in Portland. The event is on June 6. We have about a quarter of our field in place and sponsorships for the event are starting to move. I love this format both for the golf and the fundraising potential. We’ve got good conversation going in two or three other cities. It is an incredible way to raise money for Compassion First, so if you’re interested in participating, whether in Portland or elsewhere, let me know.
